ATPE Summit Call for Session Proposals
We are excited to announce the 2025 ATPE Summit Call for Proposals is now open! The 2025 ATPE Summit will take place July 7–9 at the JW Marriott Austin Downtown, and the Summit Programming Committee is seeking a variety of learning experiences, including those that are interactive, encourage meaningful participation, and go beyond traditional lecture formats. The submission deadline is Dec. 2.
What kind of session proposals should be submitted?
We are looking for proposals for one-hour continuing professional education (CPE) sessions (inclusive of any Q&A time). Sessions may be geared toward any member of the public education community, with a particular focus on classroom teachers of all grade levels and paraprofessionals. You may submit a proposal on any topic of interest to you, but the Summit Programming Committee—made up of nine members from across the state—is particularly interested in sessions covering the following topics:
- Student engagement
- Cognitive or brain-based science
- Family and community relations
- Supporting newcomers and emergent bilingual students
- Artificial intelligence (AI) usage and ethics
- Balancing change with teacher autonomy
Session topics must adhere to the Texas Education Agency Certificate Renewal and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Requirements.
Each proposal is evaluated by the ATPE Summit Programming Committee using a detailed rubric. Please review the rubric prior to submitting your proposal. Selected presenters will be notified by mid-February. ATPE will waive the summit registration fee ($225) for selected presenters; however, the speaker assumes all other financial costs including hotel, meals, and travel expenses. Speakers must be available to present 8:30–11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the JW Marriott Austin Downtown.
