Education director for the Tom Green County Probation Department, helping young people on probation earn their GED. National Board Certified Teacher. 2012 Texas Secondary Teacher of the Year; 2012 Angelo State University Distinguished Scholar Award; 2017 Round Rock ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year; 2020 National Veterans Commendation. TEA Leadership Fellowship; National Writing Project Consultant; Teach Plus Texas Fellowship; and National Alliance for Equity in Education Partner. Have testified before Texas legislative committees.
