The “HB 2 Compensation Overview” featuring ATPE Governmental Relations and Member Legal Services staff will occur from 1–1:45 p.m. Monday, July 7, in the Lone Star Ballroom.

Hotel Check-In/Checkout
Hotel check-in time is 3 p.m. Checkout is at 11 a.m. on your departure day.
Cancellation penalties will be in place depending on when you cancel your room. Cancellation penalties will apply as follows:
- Any reservation canceled between May 31–July 3 will be assessed a $25 cancellation fee per room.
- Any reservation canceled less than 72 hours prior to arrival will be assessed one night’s room and tax plus $25 per room.

Parking
- Self-parking: $20 per night. Self-parking is located on-site at the hotel. Enter the parking garage from Brazos St.
- Valet: Prevailing rates will apply (currently $69 per day)
Directions and Ground Transportation
The hotel is located at 110 East 2nd Street, Austin, TX 78701. We highly recommend using Google Maps or Waze for navigation as we have found these to be most accurate.
If you are traveling by air, Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is 6.6 miles from the hotel (driving directions from AUS).
Both airports offer rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft, as well as rideshare shuttles. Access information about these services.
Registration Hours
Registration will be located in Griffin Hall on Level 2 of the hotel. Registration hours are as follows:
Monday, July 7
10 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 8
7 a.m.–12 p.m.
Each attendee will be emailed a barcode that will allow you to print out your name badge on-site. To serve everyone as efficiently as possible, please print that email or bring it on your mobile device. If you did not receive the email, we will have a way to locate your information on-site.
Please note: Only those voting delegates who check in at registration by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, will receive the electronic ballot for the state officer election.
Attire
Attire for the general event is business casual. We recommend dressing in layers as hotel meeting rooms are often chilly.
The suggested attire for Beats & Boutiques is casual and comfortable. Consider wearing your favorite band/concert T-shirt or your best festival fit.
Volunteer Training Sessions

Professional Development Sessions
Get excited about our 2025 ATPE Summit professional learning breakout presenters!
As a summit attendee, you are eligible to earn up to eight (8) hours of continuing professional education (CPE) credit. Learn more about our keynote speakers and our professional development breakout sessions.
Our keynote speakers will hold book signings immediately following their presentations:
- Dave Davlin: 2 p.m. Monday, July 7
- Jonathan Alsheimer: 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9
How to Claim CPE Credit: CPE credit must be claimed through the ATPE Professional Learning Portal. We highly encourage you to log in to the portal before the summit to enroll in the sessions you plan to attend so you can easily enter session codes and claim your credit(s) during or after the event. CPE credits will be awarded within 24 to 48 hours of code entry.

Beats & Boutiques Evening Social
The welcome reception will take place from 7:15–9:15 p.m. Monday, July 7, in Griffin Hall. Entry to Beats & Boutiques is included in your registration fee.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of Austin at Beats & Boutiques, a festival-inspired evening social featuring live music, interactive activities, and a curated selection of local vendors sure to captivate and delight.
Attendees may also purchase a food ticket on-site for $25 to pick up dinner (one hot entrée, one side, and one nonalcoholic beverage) from our indoor “food trucks.” (Add on a sweet treat for $5!) Food tickets will be presold Monday beginning at 10 a.m. in the Members’ Lounge in Griffin Hall as well as during Beats & Boutiques. Please note that all sales are cashless.
Activities at Beats & Boutiques will include:
- Instagram-worthy photo ops—without the heat.
- A create-your-own barbecue rub station so you can take a taste of Austin home with you.
- The opportunity to make your own vinyl spin art using recycled vinyl records.
- Shopping! We’ll have an exciting lineup of exclusive ATPE merchandise for sale, plus some fun local vendors.
- Live music from Austin artists Ruby Dice and Sheridan Reed.
Suggested attire: Casual and comfortable. Wear your favorite band/concert T-shirt or your best festival fit.
The ATPE “food trucks” are:
Slice Slice Baby
- Pizza entrée ($25): 1 large slice of pizza (pepperoni or veggie supreme); side salad with ranch dressing; choice of San Pellegrino Italian soda
- Sweet treat ($5): Gelato pop (assorted flavors)
Buns N’ Roses
- Slider entrée ($25): Mushroom Swiss burger, BBQ pulled pork, or quinoa & black bean; kettle chips; choice of soda or bottled water
- Sweet treat ($5): Mochi ice cream (assorted flavors)
Tacopalooza
- Taco entrée ($25): Pork carnitas, chipotle pulled chicken, or cauliflower & black bean tacos on flour tortillas (GF corn tortillas available upon request); chips and queso; choice of Mexican soda or Topo Chico
- Sweet treat ($5): Churros with chocolate fudge
Grab-and-Go Breakfasts
Attendees registered for the full conference may pick up a complimentary grab-and-go breakfast from 7–8:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, and Wednesday, July 9, in the ATPE Member Lounge located in Griffin Hall.
- Tuesday: Assorted breakfast tacos, including special dietary options, coffee, and orange juice
- Wednesday: Assorted breakfast sandwiches, including special dietary options, coffee, and orange juice
House of Delegates/State Officer Elections
All attendees will receive an HOD Workbook at the tote bag pickup area located next to registration in the ATPE Members’ Lounge. This workbook will contain all the information delegates need to have a successful HOD experience. You can view the business prior to arrival here. Please take a few minutes to review the information and business to be considered by the House of Delegates, as well as new procedures for debate and voting.
All attendees will have a chance to visit in person with state officer candidates from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday, July 7, in Griffin Hall. We invite everyone to stop by, say hello, and get to know the candidates.
Voting in the state officer election will take place from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, using the electronic voting system ElectionRunner. All voting delegates will receive an email once voting opens. You will be able to vote from your mobile device. If you do not have a mobile device or do not receive the email, laptops will be available next to the Info Desk for delegates to cast their ballots. If you haven’t had the chance to view candidate bios or videos, visit atpesummit.org/candidates.
Voting delegates will receive a practice ballot at 3 p.m. CT Wednesday, July 2. Participation in this test ballot is optional, but it allows us to identify any email addresses that may have issues receiving the ballot in the actual election.
Region Caucuses/Tuesday Lunch Break
New this year: Region caucuses will occur at two different times during the 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m. lunch break Tuesday, July 8.
11:30–12:30 p.m.: Odd-numbered regions will caucus; see the mobile app for specific locations.
1–2 p.m.: Even-numbered regions will caucus; see the mobile app for specific locations.
ATPE-PAC Boutique—Silent Auction and Promo Sales
Start planning your purchases now! All proceeds benefit the ATPE Political Action Committee (ATPE-PAC). Remember, the ATPE-PAC Boutique is cashless, and only personal funds may be used to purchase items. Use of corporate/local unit funds is prohibited. Code of Conduct
ATPE is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all event participants. All participants in ATPE events, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, ATPE board members, ATPE staff, service providers, and others, are expected to abide by the ATPE Event Code of Conduct. This policy applies to all ATPE events and events of any ATPE affiliate, including those sponsored by regions and or local units, that are held in conjunction with ATPE events.
ATPE is committed to diversity and to providing a harassment-free event experience. All attendees have the right to a safe and welcoming environment.
Harassment includes offensive verbal or written comments or negative behavior—either in real or virtual spaces—related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, veteran status, or other protected group.
Harassment may also include any other action, statement, or behavior that ATPE considers offensive, in its reasonable judgment.
Harassment also includes the display of sexual images in public spaces, including a virtual environment.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. ATPE may take any action we deem appropriate, including warning the offender or ejecting the offender from the event and/or future events.

Health and Safety Guidelines
ATPE holds the health and safety of its attendees and vendor partners as its top priority when hosting in-person events. We strive to facilitate outstanding experiences, and our commitment to creating a safe environment comes first. ATPE will abide by city, county, and state health and safety orders in which the event is taking place, as well as take precautions to protect those in attendance. We ask that our attendees monitor their health and not attend if they are unwell.
